How to replace with custom logo and URL on the WordPress login page

WordPress has the default login logo URL linking to WordPress.org. But, some of you may want to replace that with your custom logo. Don’t worry, you are allowed to customize your custom logo and URL on the WordPress login page.

Again, if you are one of those users who want to display their website logo instead of WordPress logo, then follow the below methods to change the login logo URL to your main site.

But before that, you need to have a custom WordPress login logo. Now, all you have to do is simply paste the codes below in your theme’s functions.php file:

<?php

add_filter( 'login_headerurl', 'custom_loginlogo_url' );

function custom_loginlogo_url($url) {

return 'https://www.biztechpost.com';

}

?>

The above code will change the Login Logo URL for your WordPress website.

Note: Don’t forget to replace the URL (https://www.biztechpost.com) with your own site otherwise the users will be directed to our website.

If you are not comfortable editing your WordPress functions.php then there are many plugins available which allow you to change the WordPress login logo. However, we are going to use the “Login Logo” plugin, which is quite easy to use.

  1. Login to your WordPress account and go the administrator dashboard. Next, open the Plugins section and click on “Add New” options. Enter the name “Login Logo” in the search box and click “Search Plugins”. Now, install the plugin and activate it.
  2. Locate the image file on your computer that you wish to replace with. Edit the image and use a transparent background. Save this file as login-logo.png (if you already have the logo uploaded into your WordPress file directory, then skip this).
  3. Now, login to your website files directory using an FTP client, upload the image file to the wp-content directory of your WordPress installation.
  4. Log out from your WordPress administrator dashboard to return to the login page. Now, you will find the image which you have uploaded instead of the default one.

After that, there is no further configuration required.
