Samsung has unveiled that company is planning to launch a new Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 tablet, which is completely developed for education.
The tablet will be available in April for K-12 school deployments for the academic year 2014-2015. Samsung has yet to announce the pricing details of the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 inch tablet.
The upcoming tab said to feature a 10.1-inch display with WXGA (1280x 768 pixels) resolution. It will feature the Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity which will run Android 4.4 KitKat, Furthermore, specifications are not available as the company did not unveil. But, as the company is targeting an education segment, though we assume that the device would come with identical innards as the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 tablets launched in June last year.
The new Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 has to be launched as the part of the Google Play for Education program and will come with access to educational content and to support for digital teaching and learning material including teacher-approved apps, books, and videos.
The tablet will also come with a web-based management console which is provided by Google that will allow schools to easily manage and configure their entire fleet of devices.
For an upcoming device, one of executive stated “Samsung and Google for Education share a commitment to delivering innovative learning experiences to improve student outcomes. The new Galaxy Tab with Google Play for Education integration was created to specifically address the needs of today’s schools and support our vision for powering education by empowering educators”
Not only with Samsung, is Google also planning for some other devices with Lenovo and Toshiba for the educational initiative program.
