EXCLUSIVE: The Chennai Angels invests 2 Crores in Chai Retail Chain Chai Kings

Chennai-based Chai Retail Chain, Chai Kings has received an investment of Rs 2 Crores from The Chennai Angels. Piyush Bhandari lead the investment from The Chennai Angels with participation from other TCA’s investors, Jahabar Sadique the company’s co-founder and CEO said over the phone.

Chai Kings plan to use raised funds for market expansion and branding. “We are super happy with our progress so far and have created a niche and following for the brand. This investment is coming at the right time will further propel us. This funding proceeds will be used towards adding retail stores and to strengthen our service operations” said Jahabar Sadique, Co-Founder & CEO, Chai Kings.

Founded in 2016 by Jahabar Sadique and Balaji Sadagopan, Chai Kings offers a sumptuous range of chai in exotic flavours, in the most hygienic ambience and at perfectly justifiable prices. At the moment, Chai King is operating 8 stores in Chennai. It also delivers Chai at your doorstep within 4 kms radius from its outlets. It also uses food grade use-and-throw heat retaining chai flask for safe consumption ensuring the Chai is piping hot for at least 50 minutes.

With the vision to be the favourite chai place, Chai Kings plans of opening 12 stores in the coming months and over 100 stores in the next 5 years.
