Trilyo raises $250K from Startup Buddy and Pulse Venture

Trilyo, a Business-to-Business artificial intelligence-driven platform for hospitality industry has raised $250k from Startup Buddy and Pulse Venture Capital.

The funds will be primarily used by the company to scale its operations in India & SE Asia, the company said in a press release statement.

Trilyo was founded in 2015 by Gaurav Gambhir and Abhishek Moharana. The duo started out as cloud-based customer management solutions for restaurants and now is focusing on the hotel industry.

The Bengaluru-based startup claims to have over 150 clients using its solutions across India as well as overseas in Bangkok and Canada.

The company’s AI-powered bot and marketing solutions are designed for the hospitality industry to drive more sales and customer loyalty. Trilyo offers a personalised chatbot, customer feedback solutions, front desk management technology, concierge services, and loyalty programmes.

Hospitality is a $550bn+ industry and is growing at a CAGR of ~10%. While hotels are already fighting a battle with MakeMyTrips & AirBnBs of the world; a unique and personalized Guest Experience which is Valuable, Durable, Rare and most importantly Non-Imitable will create a long-term customer loyalty.

“The wave we saw in last ten years or so was that of mobile apps and now its AI-based virtual assistant that will act as a Travel Companion. Trilyo has the right mix – a big problem, a smart solution, scalable product and a highly dedicated team,” says Amit Singal, co-founder of Startup Buddy.

The SaaS-based startup had earlier raised an undisclosed amount of funding in a Seed round from members of Amplifi Angel Group including Vishnu Bhat, Bangalore based entrepreneur and former SVP of Infosys, in October 2016.
