Chinese manufacturer ZTE has again in news with its latest smartphone the G601U with rugged Android offerings. The device has leaked via China’s Tenaa certification authority, is said to be weigh in at 156 grams with a thickness of 12mm.
At the moment, we yet have to receive the complete specification details but it will flaunt a 4-inch WVGA display and powered by a dual-core 1.3GHz processor including 1GB of RAM, and a 5MP rear with VGA front facing camera.
The interesting part of this device is the software runs on a relatively new version of Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. The device house a hefty 2,500 mAh battery for long use without charging.
Since the device has a rugged look, we can’t necessarily expect low weight or a thin profile. What we can expect is the device should at least run the latest version of Android OS.
Although, there is no more information on the product release date and availability, and it will likely pick up a model name called ZTE G601U.
Looking at the processor and screen size we can say this is only the bottom line of this product. However, there are very fewer chances for this device of making its way outside china.
