How to Block Spam with Truecaller App on iPhone

The number of spam calls and messages is increasing every day. In terms of spam sales and telemarketing call receivers, India is the fourth largest country in the world. This has been revealed in the global spam report 2021 of Swedish caller identification and spam blocking app Truecaller.

As per the report, India is right behind countries like Brazil, Peru and Ukraine, so it is better that you block them to save your time and nerves. That’s what Truecaller is for. The app is available for both Android and iOS smartphones, however, Truecaller is one of the apps that is most remembered by Android users who have switched to iPhone. On iOS, spam calls and messages aren’t blocked by default, and the integration with Truecaller isn’t that great. Luckily, the latest versions of the Truecaller app now work better on the iPhone.

Truecaller works differently on iPhone and Android due to Apple restrictions. The app isn’t easy to set up, but we’ll help you on how to block spam with Truecaller App on iPhone.

How to identify and block Truecaller calls on iPhone?

Step 1:  Open the iPhone Settings app.

Step 2:  Select the “Phone” section.

Step 3:  Here select  “Call Blocking & Identification”

In some countries, messaging apps have built-in filters, but their capabilities are limited in several ways. They only help in sorting messages from unknown senders. Truecaller filters are much better.

Step 1:  Open the iPhone Settings app.

Step 2:  Select the “Messages” section.

Step 3:  Here select  “Unknown & Spam”.
