Gionee today unveiled its mid-range smartphone M7 and M7 Power at an event in China. Notably, the Gionee M7 Power has different specifications, apart from the FullView display that comes in 18:9 aspect ratio. However, both the smartphones run on Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) with Amigo OS 5.0 on the top.
In terms of specification, Gionee M7 comes with a 6.01-inch Full HD+ FullView AMOLED display and is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P30 processor along with Mali-G71 GPU. It is further paired with a 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage for the better performance. The smartphone supports expandable storage via microSD card (up to 256GB).
Gionee M7 has a dual-camera setup with 16-megapixel primary lens and an 8-megapixel secondary lens while there is an 8-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling. The smartphone is equipped with built-in security encryption chip for safe mobile payments and has recently passed the EAL6 security test. Connectivity options on the handset include 4G with VoLTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, GLONASS, and NFC. The device packs a 4000mAh battery with fast charging support
Coming to the Gionee M7 Power, It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor along with Adreno 505 GPU. It has a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via micro SD card slot.
On the camera front, the M7 Power sports a 13-megapixel shooter with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF and LED flash, while for the front, there is an 8-megapixel shooter. The phone comes with a fingerprint sensor at the back as well and it supports 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS options.
The smartphone comes with Hybrid Dual SIM capabilities and its fuelled by 5000mAh battery that supports fast charging as well.
The Gionee M7 has been priced at 2799 Yuan (approx. Rs 27,500) and it will be available in Sapphire Blue, Star Blue, Champagne Gold, Black and Maple Red colours starting from September 26 whereas the M7 Power is priced at 1999 Yuan (approx. Rs 19,700) and will be available in Blue, Gold and Black colour options starting from September 30.
