Lava Z60 With Android 7.0 Nougat and ‘Bokeh Mode’ Launched in India

Indian smartphone maker Lava has silently listed a new budget smartphone, called the Lava Z60 on its official website along with specifications and pricing details. The Smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and comes with a ‘Bokeh Mode’ that renders out-of-focus points of lights and focuses on the subject rather than the background. This almost blurs out the background a gives a professional DSLR camera sort of perfection to the picture. The Bokeh Mode on the Lava Z60 is achieved through the smartphone’s software rather than a dual camera setup. The Smartphone is available in Gold and Black colour options with a price tag of Rs, 6,499.

Let’s have a look at its specifications- the Lava Z60 has a 5-inch FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) display. It is powered by a 1.1 GHz quad-core processor along with 1GB RAM and features 16GB worth of internal storage. Moreover, there’s some good news for smartphone enthusiasts as Lava has stated that the internal storage of the device can be further increased by up to 32GB via a micro SD card.

On the camera front, the Lava Z60 has a 5-megapixel autofocus rear camera with Beauty, Bokeh, Funny Cam, Templates and a same 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. Interestingly, both the cameras also feature an LED flash.

The smartphone is powered by a 2500 mAh removable battery with Power Saver Mode which claims to offer 264 hours of standby time and 12 hours of talk time on 3G network. Besides, the smartphone offers other features such as Dual SIM, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/AGPS, FM Radio, 3.5mm jack, USB 2.0, Ambient Light Sensor, G-Sensor, Proximity Sensor and additional features like Flip to Mute, Smart Gestures, Power Saver Mode. The handset measures 143.6 x 72.3 x 9.1mm and measures a lightweight 149 grams.
