Oneplus’s most affordable smartphone Nord CE 2 Lite launched in India

OnePlus has added a new member to its Nord series of smartphones, the Nord CE 2 Lite. As the most affordable smartphone, one can find the device as a toned-down version of its upper variant. But it is good to see that the company is offering game-centric features like Game Focus Mode and GPA Frame Stabilizer.

In terms of hardware specifications, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G chipset paired with Adreno 619 GPU. The same Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G processor also powers phones like Poco X4 Pro. The device will come with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of storage.

Display and battery

Under the hood, it has a 6.59-inch Full HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and can automatically switch between refresh rates to save battery. The phone packs a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 33W SuperVOOC charging. The company says that the 33W adapter can charge the phone to 50 percent in just 30 minutes.

The phone runs on Android 12-based OxygenOS 12.1 and the company promises software updates for 2 years and security updates for 3 years.

Nord CE 2 Lite’s Camera

In the camera department, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite sports a 64MP main camera with two 2MP sensors including a macro camera that can click shots as close as 4cm. There is also a 16MP front camera. OnePlus has also thrown in other features like slow-motion video and dual-video.

Price and Availability

The company has launched OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite in two variants of 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB and both these variants will be available in Blue Tide and Black Dusk color. The device will go on sale on April 30, across OnePlus online and offline channels and on Amazon. The price of the devices is Rs 19,999 and Rs 21,999 respectively.
