Vivo V9 Youth Launched with AI-powered Selfie Camera in India

Chinese handset maker Vivo today launched ‘Vivo V9 Youth’ for Rs 18,999. Similar to the standard V9, Vivo V9 Youth also sports a metal unibody casing and curved edges. The smartphone comes with AI-powered selfie camera and a full view display, which is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core processor.

In terms of specifications, Vivo V9 Youth features a 6.3-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display that has a screen resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels, 403 ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The smartphone is powered by a 1.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 octa-core processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. There is a micro SD card slot, which can be used to further expand internal memory up to 256GB.

The Vivo V9 Youth features dual rear cameras with a combination of 16-megapixel and 2-megapixel sensors along with LED flash. For the front, there is a 16-megapixel shooter with a wide-angle lens. The rear camera features are Bokeh mode, Shot Re-Focus, AI Face Beauty, AR sticker and 4K video. The smartphone features a fingerprint sensor that additionally lets you click photos and even check notifications.

The device runs Android 8.1 Oreo with company’s own FunTouch OS 4.0 running on top of it. It is backed by a 3260mAh battery with fast charging support.

On the connectivity front, the Vivo V9 Youth supports 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi, GPS, dual SIM and micro USB 2.0. It has sensors such as the accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, compass and gyroscope.

The smartphone will be available in Black and Gold colours. It can be purchased from all the offline stores starting from 20th April, 2018. However, the online sales will begin on 24th April, 2018 on the Vivo E-store, flipkart.com, amazon.in and paytmmall.com.
