Micromax today launched its new smartphone called the Micromax Selfie 3 in India for Rs 11,999. The device will be made available for purchase in Black and Blue colours from offline stores across the country starting today.

As the name suggests, the smartphone is selfie-centric, features a 16-megapixel front-facing Samsung sensor along with selfie flash and face beauty modes. On the rear panel, the phone has a 13-megapixel camera with Sony sensors, Super Pixel mode, Auto Scene Detection, Portrait mode, HDR and Night mode. There’s also a feature that converts album into photo sequences that appear together in a slideshow format.

The Micromax Selfie 3 runs on Android Nougat and comes with features like voice search, Google Drive, Hangouts for video calls, smart contact prioritisation, and more.

In terms of specifications, the Selfie 3 smartphone has a 5-inch Full HD display with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Under the hood, there is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be expanded further via micro SD card slot.

Moving on to the other specifications, there is also a fingerprint sensor, which is embedded on the rear panel of the device. The Selfie 3 gets power from a 3000mAh battery, which the company claims delivers a talk time of 11 hours, a music playback of up to 22 hours and a standby time of 250 hours. On the connectivity front, the device supports 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi, dual-SIM and micro USB port.
