Airtel new data pack offers 1 GB data for Rs 49

In order to counter Reliance Jio’s Rs. 52 prepaid recharge plan, Airtel introduces a new data pack for its prepaid customers. Priced at Rs. 49, the Airtel new data pack allows 1GB of 3G/4G data valid for a day.

The Airtel new data pack can be availed from My Airtel app as well as the company’s website.

In comparison to Airtel’s offerings, Reliance Jio currently offers 1.05 GB of data for Rs. 52 to prepaid users, which comes bundled with free voice calls, free messages, and a validity of 7 days.

Along with this Rs. 49 pack, Airtel has also announced various other packs. The Rs.98 pack offers data of 1GB with a validity of 28 days while for Rs.146, 1 GB of data can be availed for 7 days. The Rs.99 pack is inclusive of 2GB of 3G/4G data lasting for 5 days. The data boost pack of Rs.29 gives 150MB of 2G/3G/4G data valid up to 28 days.

For the users with a higher data consumption, Airtel has prepaid plans priced at Rs 349, Rs 549, Rs 448 and rs 799. All these plans come with bundled data and calling offer. The users get unlimited free calling under all these prepaid plans.

Rs 799 prepaid plan is slightly expensive that offers 3.5GB data per day along with free local, STD and roaming calls and free SMS. The validity of this plan is also 28 days.

According to the report, Bharti Airtel launched their Voice over LTE or VoLTE services in Chennai. The VoLTE services were previously initiated in Karnataka, Mumbai, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Andra Pradesh, Telangana, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Goa.

The VoLTE services can be availed on a wide range of popular smartphones which include Apple, Samsung, Oppo, Gionee, Lava, OnePlus, Xiaomi, Intex and other smartphones.
